Become a foster

Homes for Animal Heroes relies on foster homes to prepare our canine heroes for successful rehoming. Many former research dogs require housetraining and crate training. They may also need to grow accustomed to walking on a leash, walking up and down stairs and rides in the car. HAH’s team of fosters help them adjust to these experiences and residential living, in general, prior to placement. HAH fosters also play a key role in matching their dogs with families that are right for them.

If you love and have experience training dogs, appreciate biomedical research, and have the desire to care for and train animal heroes, then fostering for HAH may be for you!

Please call the HAH Regional Coordinator serving your state to apply for foster care opportunities in your area.
